POLLINATION EDUCATION:
THE FUTURE IS BLOSSOMING

At BE Wild, we believe that restoration starts with a shift in how we see the world. Our pollination education programs are designed to spark a lifelong relationship with the land, moving from the classroom to the soil. We don’t just teach about bees and butterflies; we cultivate the next generation of stewards, grounded in ancestral wisdom and the "Ancient Intelligence" of our native ecosystems.

Seeds of Wisdom

Education is the most vital nutrient in our soil.

To truly "BE Wild" is to understand that we are part of a reciprocal web of life. Our educational mission spans the entire human lifecycle, from the wide-eyed wonder of a preschooler discovering their first Monarch to the deep, storied wisdom of our elders.

By weaving together modern ecology with indigenous matriarchal principles, we provide the architecture for students of all ages to become active participants in the restoration of the Blackland Prairie. Whether through hands-on meadow builds, classroom curriculum, or community workshops, we are sowing the seeds of a future where humans and pollinators thrive in harmony.

OUR LEARNING LAYERS

  • Preschool:

    • Seeds of Wonder It’s never too early to touch the mud. Our preschool programs focus on sensory play and gentle introduction to the tiny neighbors—the bees, bugs, and blooms—that share our world.

  • Elementary:

    • The Living Lab Students move from observation to participation. We explore the "Nine Layers of Life" through hands-on activities that show how soil health directly fuels the pollinators they see in their own schoolyards.

  • Middle School:

    • Ecological Architects At this stage, we dive into the "why." Students learn about the sophisticated networks of mycelium and the critical role of native plants in stabilizing our environment and local food systems.

  • High School:

    • Restoration Leadership We empower young adults to lead. High schoolers engage in real-world restoration projects, learning the science of land justice and the professional skills needed to build a regenerative future.

  • University & Partners:

    • Research in Motion We collaborate with higher education and local organizations to study the impact of our Mini Meadows, using data to prove that ancient methods are the most advanced science we have.

  • Community Classes:

    • The People’s Prairie Open to all, these workshops are designed for the backyard steward. Learn how to install your own Mini Meadow, purge invasive species, and turn your home into a pollinator paradise.

  • Lifelong Learning:

    • The Wisdom Circle Our connection to the earth does not end with age. We bring the garden to our elders in nursing homes and senior centers, sharing the therapeutic beauty of native plants and honoring the lifelong stewardship of those who walked the path before us.
